Fourth Economy works with communities to align assets and attract emerging or existing industry opportunities. Our experience and research with corporate site selection projects provides us with practical insight into where and why certain industry sectors invest. After working with communities across the country, Fourth economy recently launched the Fourth Economy Communities Index. The “fourth economy” characterizes the nation’s current economic condition, reflecting a combination of the previous three to include agrarian, industrial, and technological. This new Index is intended serve as a dashboard for community stakeholders to gauge their capacity to attract and retain modern investment.

The Fourth Economy team created one of the first nationally recognized definitions of green jobs and continues to work with stakeholders who are seeking to support and attract jobs in the green marketplace.
