412 Food Rescue is a food rescue nonprofit founded on the principle that good food belongs to people, not landfills. The organization addresses food waste and food insecurity while contributing to environmental sustainability. With the innovative Food Rescue Hero platform, 412 Food Rescue has become the largest volunteer-based food rescue organization in the U.S., leveraging technology to optimize logistics and expand its impact across more than 22 North American regions. Fourth Economy is working with 412 Food Rescue to develop a strategic plan for 2025- 2027. The organization is at an important transition point, celebrating its 10-Year anniversary in 2025 and having recently hired a new CEO. The strategic planning process centers strong staff, Board and partner engagement and is expected to conclude in March 2025.
