Fourth Economy is working with the (PANO) to conduct an economic impact of nonprofits for the state. Nonprofits play a critical role in supporting individuals and communities and in upholding and advancing economies throughout the state of Pennsylvania. However, in order to ensure that nonprofits continue to receive the financial support they need and deserve, we are working to better quantify their economic impact. These organizations have played a vital role in stabilizing our state economy, especially during economic transitions like the industrial restructuring of the 1980s and the more recent COVID-19 pandemic. Nonprofits can also be credited with driving growth and recovery locally, regionally, and beyond. This economic impact analysis will help define and quantify the benefits of the nonprofit sector on the Pennsylvania economy.
